My talk will touch three points. First, I will discuss some criteria to analyze the structure of the organizational fields including organizations representing ethnic minorities and migrant groups in four European cities (Barcelona, Budapest, Geneva and Milan). Next, I will look at patterns of political ‘integration’ among members of migrant groups and autochthonous populations in those cities. Finally, I will discuss to what extent we can find a match between network structures and political integration, analogous to the one detected by Fennema & Tillie (1999) in late 1990s Amsterdam.
